Dr. Yoder, a graduate of the University of Michigan (1989), is a member of the American Dental and Washington Dental Associations. Following dental school, she successfully completed an additional year in a hospital residency program and transitioned to private practice in 1991.

Prior to entering dental school, Dr. Yoder obtained a degree in Veterinary Technology from Michigan State University. She was employed and lectured in clinical and research settings at several major universities.

Outside the dental field, Dr. Yoder has participated in Martial Arts and obtained the level of Black Belt. She is also a second degree Reiki (Japanese form of energy healing) Practitioner. Now living on Vashon Island, Dr. Yoder is developing a small sustainable farming operation and raises sheep, chickens and working Australian Sheperds.
